Jeff Jarrett Leaves WWE

Jeff Jarrett

WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett has left WWE, just a few months after he was given the role of Senior Vice President of Live Events in the company.

The last few months have been exceptionally busy ones for Jeff Jarrett after he took up his executive role with WWE at the end of May. Since then, Double J was part of Ric Flair’s final match in July, losing to The Nature Boy after Flair laid him out with a pair of brass knuckles.

July was a momentous month in wrestling history as Vince McMahon announced he was retiring as Chairman and CEO of WWE, replaced by his daughter Stephanie and company President Nick Khan in those roles. Triple H has taken over as the head of both creative and talent relations.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that Jeff Jarrett has now left his position after just three months in it but no details have yet emerged as to why the departure has happened.

Jeff Jarrett was on WWE television as recently as SummerSlam where he acted as the special guest referee in the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship bout between The Usos and The Street Profits. The Usos picked up the win in that bout to retain their titles.
