Jeff Jarrett Calls Main Event Mafia The Best TNA Faction
Jeff Jarrett has named the greatest faction in TNA history.
With the company producing memorable groups such as Aces and Eights, Immortal and the Latin American Exchange, the decision is not as easy as it first seems.
Jarrett would give his opinion on the matter on his My World podcast. The former TNA World Champion believes that the use and drawing power of The Main Event Mafia proves that they are the greatest group in the history of the promotion:
“The Main Event Mafia was the most successful faction, without question. The ratings, when those guys got together and then we clearly drew a line in the sand against, their opponents were AJ Styles, we named them Frontline, the younger guys. Me and Mick (Foley) were compassionate with both sides. We were generationally in the Main Event Mafia era, but we also wanted to see the young guys up and coming.”
The Main Event Mafia was founded by Sting and Kurt Angle in 2008 and also featured Kevin Nash, Christian Cage, Samoa Joe, Scott Steiner and Traci Brooks as founding members.
What Is Jeff Jarrett Doing Now?
Following the founding of TNA and having multiple stints in WWE and Triple A, Jeff Jarrett signed with All Elite Wrestling in November 2022. This was the first time that Jarrett had appeared on the TNT Network in over 20 years. It was later announced that The Last Outlaw would also have an office role as Director of Business Development.
Despite being the second-biggest wrestling promotion in the United States for a number of years, TNA has received criticism for some of its business decisions over the two decades plus. In an earlier episode, Jarrett would detail problems faced when Hulk Hogan became a part of the company.
Facing off against The Elite on the landmark 200th episode of AEW Dynamite, Jarrett has stated that it is an honour to face off against the trio.
