How Jeff Hardy Reacted To Current TNA Champion Using His Signature Move

Jeff Hardy

Jeff Hardy had an interesting reaction when a fellow wrestler mentioned using his famous Swanton Bomb.

For over 25 years, former WWE & TNA World Champion Jeff Hardy has earned a reputation as one of the greatest high-flyers in the history of professional wrestling. Whether he’s teaming with his brother Matt Hardy as a legendary tag team or competing in a singles match, Jeff always knows how to get reactions from the fans.

The finishing move that Jeff Hardy has used throughout his career is called the Swanton Bomb. A move called the Senton Bomb has been a part of pro wrestling for a long time, but Jeff made it his own and created the flashier Swanton Bomb as a move that won him many big matches and championships.

Ash By Elegance is the TNA Knockouts Champion who uses a version of the Swanton Bomb as a finisher. She calls it Rareified Air when she does it.

In an interview with Rewind Recap Relive, Ash By Elegance (formerly Dana Brooke in WWE) spoke about using the Swanton Bomb and what Jeff Hardy said when she mentioned it to him.

“I started doing that when I was in WWE, and Jeff was in WWE as well, so I had asked him way back in the day. He’s like, ‘No, absolutely not [did he mind her using the move]’. He goes, ‘Listen, you’re a female. You look better doing it. Go and do it.’

It was so weird because I was back in TNA, not knowing that they would come back. They came back, and Jeff and Matt do not age. Jeff hits that move every single night, and it’s so beautiful, so spectacular.

I’m like, ‘No, yours looks better than mine,’ but it’s awesome. Then Tom Hannifan, who is not my biggest fan on commentary, actually helped me come up with the name Rarefied Air, which is awesome.”

Jeff Hardy’s Number One Career Moment In WWE

At TNA Bound For Glory on October 12th, Matt & Jeff Hardy will face Team 3D’s Brother Ray and Brother D-Von one final time in a matchup between two of the best tag teams ever that wrestled many times over the last 25+ years.

When looking back at his legendary career, which should lead to a WWE and TNA Hall of Fame induction, Jeff Hardy has said that his surprise WWE return, with Matt, at WrestleMania 33 in 2017 is his favorite career moment.

“That’s my number one moment now, man. It’s above all that. There’s some big ones, man, but it was just so welcoming and it just felt so good because WWE does feel like it’s where it all started and where it all needs to end, but just being back there, just when I wrote the song Obsolete, it was like, I was in this mindset of, ‘man, I’ll probably never end up going back to WWE.

I probably burnt my bridge with them and I’ll just, I’ll never go back.’ So it was just, it felt so good, kind of being back home and especially coming out to that reaction, man, in front of a sea of humanity was, was so special.

So yeah, I feel like there’s one in my.. nothing may ever like top that or be up there with that, but, as far as I’m concerned that’s my number one moment in my professional wrestling career, of all time.”
