Jeff Hardy Wants To “Right Some Wrongs” On WWE Return
Jeff Hardy wants to make a good impression.
It’s been announced that Matt and Jeff Hardy will officially return to WWE on February 25. The tag team legends will be heading to NXT to face Tavion Heights and Myles Borne as the relationship between NXT and TNA continues.
The Hardys most recent WWE run began with their famous return at WrestleMania 33 in 2017, but just three years later Matt had already left the company.
Jeff remained with WWE until late December 2021 when he was released in somewhat bizarre circumstances. Hardy walked out of a match during a live event by hopping the guardrail and heading into the crowd. There were reports the star had been acting erratically, and he was ultimately released after refusing to go to rehab.
The star then joined Matt in AEW, but he was arrested and suspended by the company three months later for driving under the influence.
During an interview in January, Jeff Hardy said his current run alongside Matt in TNA was a way of paying him back for those incidents.
Jeff Hardy Looking To Make Amends
Speaking on his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt expressed his excitement at the pair’s return to WWE, commenting that things came together at the last minute. Matt added that Jeff is also looking forward to going back, feeling he wants to “right the wrongs” of his controversial 2021 exit.
“He’s very happy to be going back and I feel like he wants to right the wrongs, he wants to leave on a good note, no more erratic behavior. He wants to go back and show them who he is.”
Meanwhile, it’s been announced that The Hardys will team with NXT Champion Oba Femi on the February 27 edition of TNA Impact against Moose, Eddie Edwards, and Brian Myers.
