WWE Hall of Famer Jake Roberts shared some amusing yet startling anecdotes about his experiences with some of the worst-smelling wrestlers in the business.
During an episode of his podcast, “The Snake Pit,” Roberts vividly recalled the overwhelming odours he encountered during his storied wrestling career. When asked to identify the most odorous wrestler he ever faced, Roberts immediately named Vader.
Oh my god, it’s so simple, Vader. God almighty he reeked, just horrible. Horrible, smelt like baby puke, it was just brutal.
Vader left a lasting impression on Roberts with his pungent scent, the two clashed numerous times in both WCW and WWE, making Vader’s odour a memorable aspect of their encounters.
Roberts didn’t stop there, moving on to another well-known figure, the late King Kong Bundy. He recounted a particularly memorable incident involving Bundy’s infamous footwear.

Roberts said, describing the intense smell that filled the locker room whenever Bundy removed his shoes. The situation reached a comical climax when the legendary tag team, the Road Warriors, took drastic measures to address the issue. While Bundy was in the ring, the Road Warriors sprayed his shoes with lighter fluid and set them on fire, in an attempt to neutralise the offensive odour.

Robert said that Anoa’I complained of pain in his hand and thought he could see his own bone after a bar fight, upon closer inspection, it turned out to be the other person’s teeth embedded in his hand.
