Jade Cargill will not be able to compete to become the first WWE Women’s United States Champion.

There was a mystery attack on WWE SmackDown in Salt Lake City when Jade Cargill was found knocked out while lying on the hood of a car. The video of Cargill knocked out on the hood of the car aired while her Women’s Tag Team Championship partner Bianca Belair was in a triple threat match in the Women’s US Title tournament.

When Belair saw what happened to her friend Cargill, she ran to the back during her match. Chelsea Green capitalized to beat Blair Davenport and move on in the tournament. When Cargill left in an ambulance, Belair joined her.

On social media, WWE announced that NXT’s Lash Legend will replace Cargill in the Women’s US Title tournament. Legend will face off against Michin and Piper Niven in the tournament quarterfinals.

The November 29th episode of WWE Smackdown has already been taped.

Multiple Stories Exist For Why Jade Cargill Was Injured On WWE SmackDown

Since the Jade Cargill injury took place, three different stories have emerged about what happened. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter summed it up as best he could.

One was that, as is usually the case with WWE parking lot attacks, that it’s a storyline cover for a real injury. However, this one has been kept secretive. One person in WWE mentioned to us that it seems like nobody, including her friends, knows what the injury actually is or why it happened.

Another higher-up said 100 percent that she is injured and the stories denying it are false. Another version is that the injury was created to cover for a political backstage issue.

As for the Women’s Tag Team Titles, WWE has yet to address if Belair will be stripped of the gold or if she will find a new partner.
