Jade Cargill Wins First WWE Gold
Jade Cargill has proved that success was going to find her in WWE as she captured her first title since joining the company.
Jade Cargill shocked the world when she announced she was joining WWE in September 2023 as her time in AEW came to an end. Cargill has been received as a megastar since joining her new wrestling home but her in-ring time has been somewhat limited.
However, WWE clearly has big plans for the former TBS Champion as night two of the WWE Draft took place on Raw in Kansas City. Stephanie McMahon made a shock return to the show to announce the first-round picks for Raw and SmackDown and it didn’t take McMahon long to get to Cargill. Raw’s first pick of the night was the Imperium pairing of Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser but SmackDown’s first pick of the night went to Jade Cargill. And at Backlash France, Cargill proved exactly why she deserved that pick.
Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair Win Big In France
Long-time fans of Jade Cargill will be familiar with her carrying gold as she held the TBS Championship in AEW for 508 days. Now, she’s got a new title to carry around as she and Bianca Belair captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at Backlash France.
Cargill and Belair proved to be a well-oiled machine as a Jaded from Cargill on Kairi Sane was followed by Belair dropping Asuka with the KOD to pick up the win in France. As well as being the first title of Cargill’s WWE career, the win also marks Bianca Belair’s first reign as a tag team champion in the company.
