Jade Cargill Breaks Silence After Suffering Gruesome Injury On WWE SmackDown

Jade Cargill was busted open on WWE SmackDown, and she took to social media to address the issue.

A match for the WWE Women’s Title headlined SmackDown in Orlando as Tiffany Stratton defended her title against the former champion Nia Jax and the Queen of the Ring, Jade Cargill.

The high-stakes triple threat match was a physical battle between Stratton and her two main rivals on SmackDown. At one point in the match, Cargill fought with Jax on the floor, and Cargill was busted open legit after taking a hard bump. Cargill even looked right into the camera to show off her battle scars while looking like a badass.

While Stratton, Cargill and Jax had an entertaining match, the finish did not go as planned. During the final moments of the match, Jade hit the Eye of the Storm spinning slam on Jax for two with Jax kicking out on time. Stratton dropkicked Jade, and it’s possible that was supposed to be what broke up the pin attempt, but Stratton was a bit late with it.

With Jade out of the ring, the awkward moment happened as Stratton covered Jax for two because the referee, Daphanie LaShaunn, stopped counting even though Jax didn’t move. After the referee stopped counting, Jax talked to the referee, and Jax lifted her right shoulder up with a delayed kickout. The fans booed loudly because it looked awkward.

The referee communicated with Stratton and Jax, so Stratton hit an elbow drop. Stratton went up top and hit Prettiest Moonsault Ever on Jax for the pinfall win after about 14 minutes.

It was confirmed by TC of Wrestlevotes on X/Twitter that Stratton was supposed to win the match, but the women got their signals crossed a bit after Cargill was busted open, and the finish was altered because of it.

Writing on Instagram, Jade Cargill shared an image of the scar on her head, along with a yell into the camera, and included this message.

“Don’t question the love I have for this game.”

Rather than post the gruesome image here, here’s a link to Jade’s Instagram post that shows off the battle scar.

After the show was over, WWE’s medical team placed towels on Jade’s head to help manage the wound, and they assisted her to the backstage area.
