Jade Cargill Says She’s Injured
Jade Cargill is injured.
SmackDown was thrown into chaos on November 22nd when footage of a battered Jade Cargill lying across the hood of a smashed car was shown on the big screen. The big reveal came during a match between Bianca Belair, Blair Davenport, and Chelsea Green, causing the former to run backstage.
In storyline, there remains a mystery about who attacked Cargill and why. As a result of the assault, Cargill was pulled from WarGames and the Women’s United States Title tournament. However, the uncertainty has also spread to her real-life injury status.
Despite initial reports that the angle was a way of writing her off television, it was later claimed that Jade Cargill was “100% not injured.” There was also wild speculation that there could be some backstage issues, but no concrete proof was presented.
Jade Cargill Is Legitimately Injured
A new report via Fightful Select has now attempted to clear up the messy situation around the WWE star. The update notes that Fightful was told early on by company sources that Cargill was legitimately injured, and that remains the case.
While there’s no timetable for her return, Cargill is listed as injured within the company. Furthermore, Cargill herself has told people she’s legitimately injured, although the exact nature of the issue remains a mystery.
The future of the Women’s Tag Team Championship also remains unclear. Cargill currently holds the gold alongside Bianca Belair but despite reports the titles will be vacated, there’s been no official comment or changes on television. The pair last defended the titles on November 11th.
