Jade Cargill’s First WWE Match In 4 Months Ends With Shocking Result
Jade Cargill stepped back into the WWE ring after a long layoff.
For the first time since November 11th, 2024, Jade Cargill competed in a WWE match following a mystery attacker storyline. That mystery attacker was revealed to be Naomi when Cargill made her triumphant return at the WWE Elimination Chamber PLE in Toronto.
While a Cargill-Naomi match is likely coming in the future, the former Women’s Tag Team Champion Cargill was in action against former WWE Women’s Champion Liv Morgan on SmackDown in Bologna, Italy.
Even though it was her first match in four months and her first singles match since August 2024, Cargill looked sharp against Morgan. Unfortunately for Cargill, the numbers game was not on her side.
In the final minutes of the match, Cargill’s rival Naomi showed up at ringside. Cargill tried to take care of her by knocking her off the apron. Morgan went for a move, but Cargill hit her with a backbreaker to remain in control. That’s when Liv’s tag team partner Raquel Rodriguez distracted the referee, so Naomi hit Jade with a title belt shot to the head. The referee never saw it. Liv hit Oblivion on Jade for the pinfall win.
A pinfall loss for Cargill is very rare in her WWE career, but in this case, it was also a 3-on-1 scenario that made it difficult for Cargill to pick up a win.
Naomi Attacks Jade Cargill After WWE SmackDown Loss
Sometimes a WWE superstar loses a match and gets revenge after it’s over, but that didn’t happen for Cargill in Bologna.
Naomi attacked Jade with repeated punches after the match was over. Naomi was wearing a new outfit that was black and yellow with “Caution” tape on it. Naomi picked up Jade and stomped on her to knock her down. Naomi put her knees around Jade’s head and spiked Jade’s head into the mat.
The attack continued as Naomi knocked Jade off the apron and sent Jade crashing onto the commentary table. The fans booed Naomi loudly while Naomi celebrated her successful cheap attack. It appears as though Naomi and Cargill are set for a WrestleMania 41 showdown in Las Vegas, but nothing is official yet.
