Jade Cargill Fires Back At Critics As WWE SummerSlam Nears

Jade Cargill is keen to remain focused.

At SummerSlam, Jade Cargill will wrestle arguably the biggest match of her career when she meets Tiffany Stratton. The match for the Women’s Championship is set to take place on night one of the two-night event.

Cargill earned her shot at the gold after winning the Queen of the Ring tournament back at Night of Champions in June. Meanwhile, Stratton has held the title since cashing in her Money In The Bank contract and beating Nia Jax back on January 3.

Jade Cargill Knows She’s Capable Of

Despite her success, Cargill continues to attract criticism from some who believe that she’s failed to improve in the ring since her time in AEW. This has led to claims that Cargill shouldn’t be in such a high-profile position.

During an appearance on Busted Open Radio, Cargill hit back at her critics while explaining that she remains determined to block out the noise.

“I can care less what they think. I know who I am, I know what I’m capable of, and I think people rush things so quick.

I think people put such a target on my back but regardless, I can go out there and deliver a great match but people are going to pinpoint something, they’re gonna find something something something because of who I am and how I’ve been delivered, how quick I grew up in this game, who I have supporting me, how I look, that I don’t need this career.

But I can care less because they’re not the ones out there, they’re not the ones that have to deal with what I have to deal with every single day and what goes through my mind. I listen to the people that want to see me go out there and be my best, I listen to the people that want me to excel and that know I’m gonna be a household legend.”

Jade Cargill signed with WWE in September 2023, but it wouldn’t be until the 2024 Royal Rumble that she made her in-ring debut. Since then, Cargill has competed at two WrestleManias and become a regular on Friday Night SmackDown.
