Jacob Fatu Wins WWE Title In WrestleMania Debut

Jacob Fatu

LA Knight walked into WrestleMania 41 as the WWE US Champion but Jacob Fatu ensured it was a night to remember for The Bloodline in Las Vegas.

Jacob Fatu has proved to be hugely impressive since he burst onto the scene in WWE as part of Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline. Fatu proclaimed his love for Sikoa almost constantly during those early days as The Bloodline ruled over SmackDown with an iron fist.

However, when Solo Sikoa lost to Roman Reigns for the right to the title of Tribal Chief, Fatu started to look at his leader a little differently. Jacob Fatu started to do his own thing and found himself in a seemingly constant battle with Braun Strowman.

But at WrestleMania 41, Fatu was on the hunt for gold in WWE as he challenged LA Knight for the United States Championship.

Jacob Fatu Moonsaults His Way To Gold

Solo Sikoa walked out with Jacob Fatu for his entrance while LA Knight was driven to the stage in a Maserati before the fight was on.

Knight suffered after competing in two matches on SmackDown before his big WrestleMania moment and Fatu took advantage of that fact early on. As Fatu went for a moonsault looking to put away his opponent, Knight snatched him out of the air for a hugely impressive BFT, but Fatu grabbed the ropes to ensure he wasn’t pinned.

Jacob Fatu retook control and nailed two huge moonsaults to win the WWE United States Championship in his WrestleMania debut. After the bout, Haku was on hand to celebrate the victory.

As a result of the win, Fatu became the second member of the Anao’i family to win gold at WrestleMania 41 after Jey Uso shocked Gunther to capture the World Heavyweight Championship.
