Jacob Fatu Speaks Out On Roman Reigns
Jacob Fatu is a huge Roman Reigns fan.
The Samoan Werewolf is part of the Anoa’i family and is the son of Sam Fatu, the twin brother of Rikishi.
The 35-year-old holds the WWE United States Championship on the SmackDown brand, which he won by defeating LA Knight at WrestleMania 41.
Fatu was supposed to appear on Raw in 2023, but legal problems kept him away until his actual debut in June 2024. He is thankful to many people behind the scenes who helped him get into the company.
Since then, Fatu has made inroads, won his first championship, and is hugely popular among fans, with reports even suggesting a babyface transition for him in the near future.
While appearing on the Battleground Podcast, Fatu shared insights about his journey, including his likeness for Roman Reigns and the Usos.
I’m my family’s biggest fan. I mean, I love my family so much. We’re talking about [the] Headshrinkers, Wild Samoans, Islanders. To grow up with them, and you know, man, it’s just, it’s mind-blowing. And if you wanna ask me, and you know, they probably don’t like when I say this, but I’m a huge fan of Roman. I’m a huge fan of Jimmy and Jey. I mean, if anything, I’ve seen these guys, you know. And not only that, I know how they are. I am very grateful to be a part of this.
Fatu also credited Triple H and others who contributed to bringing him to WWE.
Roman Reigns May Be A Target For TKO’s Budget Cuts
Roman Reigns has not appeared on WWE programming since the Raw after WrestleMania 41 when he was attacked by Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker.
The recent months have seen several wrestlers being released from the roster, with budget cuts speculated as the reason.
Reigns has competed in only three matches in 2025 and is one of the highest-paid wrestlers in the company, making him an easy target for TKO.
