Jack Perry Legitimately Hurt On AEW Dynamite
Is the AEW Continental Classic cursed? It might be after Jack Perry hurt himself at Dynamite Winter Is Coming.
The 2025 Continental Classic is in full swing with 12 of AEW’s top stars battling it out to win the competition and the Continental Championship that goes with it.
Darby Allin was one of those 12 stars, and he kicked off his tournament against Kevin Knight on the Thanksgiving Eve edition of Dynamite. Knight picked up the win, but the news was even worse for the former TNT Champion as Allin was hospitalised after that bout.
It was then revealed on Collision that Allin had to be pulled from the competition as he was not medically cleared to compete. Jack Perry took Allin’s place, and his Continental Classic journey began at Dynamite Winter Is Coming when he faced his former colleague in The Elite, Kazuchika Okada.
Okada won the bout to move on to six points, but it seems Perry may have suffered an injury as well.
Jack Perry Suffers Ankle Injury
Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer reported that Perry “legit” hurt his ankle during the match. The injury came when Perry hit Okada with a suicide dive to the outside of the ring. Perry worked through the match with Alvarez, also noting that the star appeared to be fine. Whether or not the injury will have greater repercussions for Jack Perry remains to be seen.
After the match, Jack Perry was offered a spot in The Don Callis Family, but rejected the offer, launching an optimistic attack on the group. Perry was soon saved by his Jurassic Express tag team partner Luchasaurus, and The Young Bucks.
