Izzi Dame Seizes Huge Opportunity at NXT New Year’s Evil

WWE NXT Star Izzi Dame

NXT New Year’s Evil saw Thea Hail establish herself as a fighting champion as she came out to the ring to wrestle a second time tonight, despite being the victim of a brutal attack earlier in the night.

She was set to open the night with her defense of the NXT Women’s North American Championship against Blake Monroe, who attacked her before the match began, and was subsequently banned from the building by Ava.

Thea, despite not being at a hundred percent, issued an open challenge for her title to the first member of the women’s roster who would make her way to the ring.

A horde of women were scrambling to get to the ring, but cleared way when Tatum Paxley came out with her chainsaw once again. However, Paxley’s rival, Izzi Dame, made her way to the ring from the back and reached before Tatum to become the number one contender.

Izzi attacked Thea with a big boot before the match began, with Shawn Spears and Niko Vance by her side, as she dominated the match against an already injured Thea Hail.

The night finally turned for Izzi after she lost to Tatum as she beat Thea Hail with a Dame Over from the top rope to become the new NXT Women’s North American Champion.
