Iyo Sky To Face Former Women’s Champion At Evolution
Iyo Sky will be back in action at WWE Evolution.
With WWE Evolution just around the corner, some fans have been critical about the company’s lack of attention to the event, but finally, the card is beginning to come together.
Prior to Raw, just one match had been confirmed, with Jacy Jayne putting the NXT Women’s Title on the line against Jordynne Grace. But now, three more matches have been announced.
This saw Roxanne Perez officially confirmed as part of The Judgment Day and confirmation that she will team with Raquel Rodriguez to defend the Women’s Tag Team Championship at the event on July 13.
There will also be a huge Battle Royal with the winner going on to face the women’s champion of their choice at Clash In Paris. But the biggest announcement came just after Raw went on the air.
Iyo Sky To Face Familiar Rival
Rhea Ripley opened the show following her win over Raquel Rodriguez at Night of Champions, announcing that she was finally done with The Judgment Day. As such, it was time for her to get her priorities straight ahead of Evolution.
But before she could go any further, she was interrupted by Iyo Sky. The Women’s World Champion said that it’s impossible to have Evolution without her, and that Ripley can’t get back to the top of WWE without a title.
Sky said that she’d been told by General Manager Adam Pearce that she could choose her opponent for Evolution, and so she’d decided to face the best. Rhea Ripley.
The pair most recently met with the title on the line in a show-stealing Triple Threat Match at WrestleMania 41.
