IYO SKY Captures Money In The Bank

Both Rhea Ripley and Asuka have more reason to look over their shoulder as IYO SKY captured the women’s briefcase at Money In The Bank.

WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus joined the field for her first Money In The Bank match alongside her sidekick Zoey Stark, Zelina Vega, Becky Lynch, and Damage CTRL’s Bayley and IYO SKY. Stratus’ strategy soon came to light as she sent Stark out before Lynch could make it to the ring to attack The Man.

With Stark, Stratus, and Lynch spending much of the match taking each other out, a pivotal moment proved to come when Stark attempted to handcuff Becky Lynch to the turnbuckle. She failed in that endeavor but Lynch had to wrestle the rest of the bout with a handcuff on one hand.

As IYO SKY looked to have the match won late on, her partner in Damage CTRL, Bayley, stopped her, throwing her friend off the ladder. Bayley then attempted to retrieve the briefcase but was stopped by Becky Lynch. IYO SKY proved she was not just the genius of the sky when she saw the opportunity to use the handcuff that was still attached to Lynch and use it to attach the Irish star to Bayley, stopping them both from climbing the ladder.

IYO SKY then clambered over Bayley to win the first Money In The Bank briefcase of her career. What champion she will challenge remains to be seen.
