International Star Makes Huge Mercedes Mone Challenge

Mercedes Mone has challenges coming from everywhere.

On the October 25 episode of Collision, Olympia made her AEW debut. The Mexican star made short work of Taya Valkyrie, dispatching the star in a little over two minutes.

CMLL star Olympia is the daughter of former CMLL World Tag Team Champion Valiente.

In a backstage segment after her dominant win, Olympia laid down a huge challenge to CMLL Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone. A match between the two was then confirmed for Collision on November 1. Mone’s TBS Championship won’t be up for grabs.

Mone made the most recent defence of the CMLL Women’s Championship on October 17 when she beat Persephone. That was just her second successful defence since winning the title from Zeuxis at Grand Slam Mexico.

Mercedes Mone To Challenge For AEW Gold

Back in AEW, Mercedes Mone is scheduled to challenge Kris Statlander for the Women’s World Championship at Full Gear on November 22.

The match was made after Mone cut off Statlander’s celebration at WrestleDream in the seconds after her win over “Timeless” Toni Storm. However, Statlander returned the favour after Mone beat Mina Shirakawa to become Interim ROH Women’s TV Champion.

On the following episode of Dynamite, Mone found herself at odds with Harley Cameron and her puppet, but it was Statlander who got the last laugh, shoving Mone’s face into a cake.
