Injury To Top Star Causes Change To AEW All In Plans

Jamie Hayter & Julia Hart AEW logo blur

All In Texas will be packed with many of AEW’s biggest stars, but the card could have been a little different.

Jamie Hayter has been out of action since Double or Nothing, where she lost in the finals of the Owen Hart Cup to Mercedes Mone. As a result of the victory, Mone will now challenge “Timeless” Toni Storm for the Women’s World Championship in Texas.

After the loss, Hayter appeared on the following episode of Dynamite, where she was attacked by the debuting Thekla. In the weeks after the taping, it was reported that Hayter was unavailable, but no further details were given.

Jamie Hayter To Miss AEW All In

During the media call ahead of All In, Tony Khan hinted that injuries to stars such as Jamie Hayter had caused him to make some changes to the line-up for the event.

According to a new report from Fightful Select, Hayter did suffer an injury at Double or Nothing in May and hasn’t been cleared since. As a result, Thekla’s debut was put together in a way so that Hayter could be involved, but effectively written off television.

The idea was that the British star would then pick up the storyline when she was passed fit; however, this hasn’t happened.

There’s no word on whether the rivalry would have resulted in a match at All In, and at present, Thekla hasn’t been announced for a match.

AEW remains hopeful that the story can be picked up whenever Hayter returns.

It’s been a tough couple of years for Jamie Hayter, who missed the best part of 15 months of action across 2023 and into 2024 thanks to a serious back injury.
