Injuries Plaguing Several AEW Stars

With Kenny Omega and Julia Hart nearing returns after long spells out, an update has given the status of some other missing AEW stars.

Fightful Select has given some updates on the status of several AEW stars as they battle to get back to full health and back in the ring.

Cole Karter suffered a broken arm in June 2024 that required surgery. The former NXT star is believed to now either be medically cleared or very close to it meaning a return to the ring could be imminent.

Skye Blue has been out of action since July when she lost to Hikaru Shida on Collision when the referee stopped the match. Blue suffered a serious ankle injury and it is believed she is still not close to being cleared for an in-ring return.

Former TBS Champion Willos Nightingale remains out of action after suffering a concussion in October. Unspecified creative plans are believed to have been delayed as a result of the injury.

Former AEW Champions Nearing Returns

There is better news for Tony Khan in terms of returns as vignettes have aired promoting the imminent return of Julia Hart. Hart has been out of action since losing the TBS Title to Willow Nightingale at Dynasty in April 2024.

Kenny Omega also seems to be on his way back to action following a year out with serious illness. However, it seems likely given his recent appearance there, that Kenny Omega’s in-ring return will take place in NJPW rather than in AEW.
