An injured WWE star made a surprise return to send a warning to an NXT rival.

On May 18th, NXT headed to Havert L. Fenn Center in Fort Pierce, Florida for its latest live event. On the show, Roxanne Perez defended her NXT Women’s Title against Karmen Petrovic and Tatum Paxley in Triple Threat action.

In the end, Perez earned the win to extend her record-equalling second reign with the gold and keep a huge target on her back.

One person aiming for that target is Cora Jade, despite being sidelined with a serious injury. The star came out to address the Fort Pierce crowd, saying he’s coming for Perez and the NXT Women’s Title. Despite the appearance, fans shouldn’t get too excited about a return to the ring for Jade as she confirmed she’ll be out for another few months.

WWE Star Cora Jade Suffered Torn ACL

On January 12th, Cora Jade suffered a torn ACL during a match with Lyra Valkyria who was NXT Women’s Champion at the time. Jade was attended to by officials and doctors but it quickly became clear the issue was serious.

The injury was a huge blow for the young star who had only returned to action a month earlier after missing five months in the second half of 2023.
