Injured WWE Star Set To Return After 7 Months Out
A WWE star will soon be back in the ring.
Tyler Bate hasn’t wrestled since suffering a serious injury on July 2nd. The issue occurred during a tag team match against Hank & Tank while teaming with Pete Dunne.
The British star made his long-awaited main roster debut that January when he linked up with Dunne on SmackDown. The pair were later dubbed the New Catch Republic and challenged for tag team gold at WrestleMania 40.
As part of the WWE Draft, the team was moved to Monday Night Raw.
Tyler Bate Closing On WWE Return
At the time, Tyler Bate revealed that he had “torn his left pectoral major & tendon off the bone” during that match in NXT. However, with his surgery now a distant memory, Bate has been cleared to return to action.
According to an update from Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the star is expected back on Raw within the next few weeks.
It’s unclear whether Bate will link back up with Dunne once he returns to action.
Meanwhile, Apollo Crews will be out of action for several months after undergoing surgery for a similar injury. After suffering a torn pec in a match on SmackDown in January, Crews went under the knife and as a result, will miss WrestleMania.
The news of Crews’ injury came after JD McDonagh suffered broken ribs and a punctured lung during a match on the January 27 edition of Monday Night Raw.
Dakota Kai, Bronson Reed, and Tonga Loa also all remain out of action.
