WWE star Zoey Stark is currently sidelined due to an injury.

Stark’s last WWE match was on the May 19, 2025, episode of Monday Night Raw, where she faced Kairi Sane and Rhea Ripley in a triple threat Money in the Bank qualifying match.

Unfortunately, during the match, she suffered a severe knee injury while attempting a missile dropkick, landing awkwardly on her right knee. The injury was so extreme that she started screaming, and the medics had to check on her.

She was taken backstage immediately after, and Sane and Ripley had to continue the match without her. Since then, she’s been absent from TV and has been undergoing intensive rehabilitation.

Stark recently shared positive updates about her recovery on Instagram. She revealed that she’s now able to run and pivot pain-free for the first time since her injury. She also shared a progress video, showing how far she’s come on her recovery journey.

Despite this progress, WWE expects her return to be around mid-2026, with plans to bring her back as a babyface character.

How did WWE Star Zoey Stark Get injured?

Speaking on the Busted Open Podcast in May, WWE Legend Bully Ray analyzed what went wrong during Zoey Starks’ match that led her to sustain a horrible leg injury, which has kept her out of the ring for so long.

Ray made the following diagnosis:

She tried to stop herself because she knew she wasn’t going to be able to stay in the laid-out position to dropkick Kairi, ‘cos Kairi was too far away. The timing was off. And when timing is off, it’s normally off between the two. I can tell you that Kairi did not turn and feedback to the middle fast enough, and I can also tell you that Zoey did her springboard too quickly.

This isn’t the first time Stark has suffered an injury inside the ring. She suffered a string of knee injuries in 2021 when she was still part of the NXT roster.
