Injured WWE Star Finally Returning After Six-Month Absence
An injured WWE star is expected to make their in-ring return soon.
Chad Gable sustained an injury in June 2025, which was written into a backstage segment where Penta snapped his arm.
Gable, who was doubling as El Grande Americano, underwent surgery in July. In the meantime, the company passed the masked luchador’s gimmick to Ludwig Kaiser, who appeared in both WWE and AAA Lucha Libre.
While the exact date of his return is unclear, the Stamford promotion has a clear idea about where he is headed: AAA.
During the recent Guerra de Titanes event in Mexico, Kaiser’s version of Americano turned babyface after losing the main event tag team match against Rey Fenix and Rey Mysterio.
According to Self Made Pro, Gable will replace Kaiser in the Mexican promotion as the top heel.
Here’s the deal. At the end of the AAA show, Kaiser’s version of El Grande Americano turned babyface. That’s happening because Chad Gable is returning, and he’s going to come back as the top heel in the promotion. You can expect him back very, very, very soon—both as the heel Grande and as Chad Gable. You can lock that in. There you go. [H/T: Ringside News]
Popular WWE Star Injured At AAA Guerra De Titanes
El Grande Americano’s tag team partner at Guerra de Titanes was Dominik Mysterio, who currently holds the AAA Mega Championship and WWE Intercontinental Championship.
In a spot involving his father, Rey Mysterio, and himself, Dominik sustained an injury, rendering him unable to use his right arm.
The 28-year-old pulled through the situation, eating a 619 and a subsequent splash from his father to lose the match for his team.
After the match, he shoved El Grande Americano. The post-match segment ended with Rey Mysterio extending his hand to El Grande Americano, which the latter shook, thus turning babyface.
