Former WWE NXT Tag Team Champion Ridge Holland recently went under the knife.

Holland suffered a significant foot injury during the TNA tapings on September 27, 2025, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, where he faced Moose. The injury was identified as a Lisfranc injury, which involves dislocation or fracture of the mid-foot bones. This type of injury is serious and often requires surgery and a lengthy recovery period.

Injured WWE star Ridge Holland Thanks His Fans and Supporters

After undergoing surgery to repair the Lisfranc injury, Ridge Holland provided an update to fans through a video posted on his social media. He expressed that although the past seven years of his wrestling career have been challenging, including this injury setback, he remains determined to recover fully and return stronger.

Holland mentioned that he is managing pain with medication and is committed to getting into the best shape of his life during his recovery. He thanked his fans for their support and gave a special shoutout to the Andrews Orthopedic Team in Birmingham, Alabama, who performed the surgery. He also emphasized taking things step by step and not rushing his return to avoid further damage.

“So, just laying here, just taken my painkillers – they gave me some lovely Hydrocodone which takes the edge off slightly. Oh man. It’s always weird, as I was saying to my wife, that I must be able to handle all this s**t because for the past seven years it’s been a bit of a bumpy ride with the wrestling business.

Just as I’m starting to get rolling, something happens. Same again this time, TNA, a couple of good matches, and then this happens. But again, we heal, we recover, we march forward, and I’m looking forward to coming back and getting in the best shape of my life.

I guess I’m using this, all these injuries and all these ups and downs, I’m using it as lessons for my kids, and anyone else that wants to take notice, that it doesn’t matter what happens to you really, there’s always a way back if you just believe.

You don’t even have to have a plan. Everyone always wants a plan, but we’re all winging it, and I think that you’ve just gotta want something and take the first step, and then you just pivot and adjust on certain situations, but keep moving forward.

A lot of support, a lot of get-well messages, so thanks for them. Great service and care from the Andrews orthopedic team here in Birmingham, Alabama. They do a lot of work with WWE, so they truly are the best in the field. So I wanna thank Dr. Waldrop and his team for taking really good care of me.

Now I just want to get home, see my kids. I’ve had a couple of days off where I’ve been a bit more relaxed with the diet, which has been quite nice, actually. Not looking forward to this flight home, but needs must. Hopefully, this pain will die down in the next couple of days. But yeah, speak soon.”

The Lisfranc injury is expected to sideline Ridge Holland for at least six months, with some estimates suggesting the recovery could take up to a year depending on the severity.
