Injured WWE Star Close To Return
A WWE superstar who has had a lengthy absence is expected to return to the ring very soon.
The WWE roster is very deep in terms of singles male wrestlers, female wrestlers, and tag teams. Thanks to that incredible depth that exists, sometimes when somebody is injured for six months or longer, they might be forgotten a bit by the fans. That’s why when they come back from an injury, it is often treated like a big deal.
Tyler Bate has been out of action for about six months due to a torn pectoral injury. During his run on the main roster on Raw, he was paired with his good friend Pete Dunne as a tag team called the New Catch Republic.
For the past six months, Dunne has been on his own since Bate suffered the torn pectoral injury on the July 2nd episode of NXT. Bate and Dunne were in tag team action against Hank & Tank in a match that Bate and Dunne won.
After the injury, Bate revealed that he tore his left pectoral major and tendon off the bone, which led to surgery and a lengthy rehab process.
Tyler Bate Expected To Make WWE Return
It has been reported by PWInsider’s Mike Johnson that Bate is extremely close to returning from the torn pectoral injury and could be cleared at any time.
In Bate’s absence, Dunne had singles matches against the likes of Sheamus and R-Truth, who annoyed Dunne repeatedly by calling him “Butch” in numerous backstage segments.
During his WWE career so far, the 27-year-old Bate had his most success on the now-defunct NXT UK brand. Bate also won the NXT Tag Team Titles with Trent Seven in his career.
It’s unknown if Bate will be paired with Dunne again or if the two men will be singles wrestlers moving forward.
