Injured Star Makes Shock Return On AEW Collision

A popular AEW star has returned with a bang.

At AEW Winter Is Coming Collision, Willow Nightingale took on Jamie Hayter in a qualifying match for the upcoming International Women’s Cup.

When all was said and done it was Nightingale who got the win, and she’ll now represent AEW in a four-way match at Wrestle Dynasty in January. The match will also feature one wrestle each from ROH, CMLL, and Stardom.

At the event in the Tokyo Dome, it’s already been confirmed that Kenny Omega will return to action against Gabe Kidd. Omega hasn’t wrestled since being diagnosed with diverticulitis in December 2023.

Julia Hart Makes AEW Return

After the match, the two women shook hands, and after Nightingale left the ring the lights went out. When the lights came back on Julia Hart was in the ring and she hit Hayter with a Hammerlock DDT.

Julia Hart had been absent since losing the TBS Championship to Nightingale at Dynasty back in April. The star sustained a shoulder injury in the days before the event in a match against Leyla Hirsch but remained determined to face Nightingale as planned.

After losing the gold Hart largely kept a low profile while undergoing surgery.

In recent weeks a series of vignettes signalling her return have aired on AEW television, with the videos interrupting segments involving Jamie Hayter.

In a nice piece of symmetry, Hart returned to the same arena where she wrestled her final match before going on hiatus.
