Injured AEW Star Makes Surprise Return To Action

AEW star Kota Ibushi has made a shock return to in-ring action.

The Japanese star made multiple appearances for Tony Khan’s organisation in 2023 after joining forces with The Elite to defeat Blackpool Combat Club on his debut at Blood & Guts 2023.

Ibushi would go on to compete at AEW All In from London’s Wembley Stadium, teaming with Hangman Page and Kenny Omega in a losing effort against Jay White, Juice Robinson and Konosuke Takeshita.

The 42 year-old teamed with Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho in another defeat, this time to Takeshita, Sammy Guevara and Will Ospreay at WrestleDream on 1st October 2023, but was later named as an official member of the AEW roster on 16th November.

Serious injury suffered in a bout against Naomichi Marufuji for Pro Wrestling NOAH on 2nd January 2024 has sidelined the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion ever since but he made a surprise return on 21st July, battling Sanshiro Takagi in his first DDT Pro-Wrestling appearance in seven years.

Darby Allin Refutes Claims Swerve Strickland Is The Leader Of AEW

AEW Blood & Guts 2024 will see The Elite battle Mark Briscoe, Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, Swerve Strickland and a returning Darby Allin.

Allin made his own surprise return during AEW Dynamite 250, but despite declaring his participation in the brutal match he has slammed claims that former rival Swerve Strickland is the leader of AEW.
