Injured AEW Star Keeping Return Plans Secret
One AEW star forced out of action due to injury is keeping plans for their eventual return a closely-guarded secret.
Back in March, it was reported that an AEW World Tag Team Title Match had been pulled from Dynasty after one of the challengers suffered an injury. The participant in question was Brian Cage, who had suffered a torn quad, an injury that required surgery to fix. But his injury issues ran a lot deeper than that.
Brian Cage revealed that he’d undergone knee replacement surgery as well, but despite the serious leg issues, he was back in the gym just weeks after his operations.
Brian Cage Keeping AEW Return Under Wraps
Speaking on the All F’N Wrestling Show, Brian Cage was asked if plans were being made for his return to AEW, but he’s keeping those under wraps:
I have no idea about any sort of creative plans for our return at all at this point. So, I mean, I guess anything could be possible… There’s a whole wide open of versatility of what could happen, because there’s nothing set in stone at all for when I’m coming back or what I’m going to do when I come back.
I’m not telling anybody that I don’t want anybody to have an inkling. I want everybody to have no idea of, ‘Oh, maybe around this time,’ because it might be next week, next year, or I don’t know. Who knows?
Brian Cage was a part of The Don Callis Family before his injury forced him off TV. Since then, Callis’ group has grown exponentially, with Andrade El Idolo joining after his shock return to AEW. It remains to be seen if Cage will still be a part of the currently 14-strong group when he’s ready to get back in the ring.
