The AEW women’s division will soon be given a boost.

In the second half of 2025, injuries have had a big impact on AEW, leaving the company without several former World Champions.

Arguably, the biggest name on the sidelines is Will Ospreay. The British star recently underwent neck surgery after battling serious pain and nerve problems throughout the summer leading up to Forbidden Door.

Meanwhile, AEW is also without Swerve Strickland and Jay White, while Kenny Omega’s availability continues to ebb and flow.

Thunder Rosa Still Missing From AEW

In addition, Thunder Rosa has been out of action since suffering an undisclosed injury during the women’s Casino Gauntlet Match at All In Texas. But thankfully, it seems her absence will soon come to an end.

During an interview conducted by Midnight Movie Trash at Big Texas Comic Con, Rosa noted that she was continuing to rehab the injuries she’d be dealing with for a “couple of months.” Although she didn’t give any specific details on the injuries, it seems it won’t be long until she’s back in action.

“I have really good news. Everything is going really well. So, I’m expecting to return to the ring fairly soon.”

In more good injury news, it’s been reported that Swerve Strickland could return to the ring before the end of 2025. Strickland underwent surgery following Forbidden Door to fix a long-standing knee injury he initially sustained while with WWE.
