Inactive WWE Star Finally Returns To The Ring After 7-Month Absence

Inactive star makes his return to the squared circle after seven long months of absence.

Omos wrestled his last wrestling match seven months before, on January 25, 2025, at NOAH Sunny Voyage 2025, which took place at EDION Arena Osaka in Osaka, Japan. He teamed up with his Team 2000X partner Jack Morris to defeat All Rebellion (Galeno & Kaito Kiyomiya) in the GHC Tag Team Title match.

His last appearance in the Triple H-led promotion was at the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on April 5, 2024, the night before WrestleMania 40. Since then, he has been absent from the promotion’s weekly programming and monthly premium live events.

Omos Returns at AAA TripleMania 33

Omos made his monumental return during the opening Copa Bardahl Battle Royal at AAA TripleMania 33, held at Arena CDMX in Mexico City on August 16, 2025. The bout featured 14 competitors in Royal Rumble-style action, and they were La Parka, Laredo Kid, Joaquin Wilde, Abismo Negro Jr., Taurus, Aero Star, Mecha Wolf, Cruz Del Toro, Otis, Pimpinela Escarlata, Cibernético, Microman, Octagón Jr., and Omos himself.

The Nigerian Giant entered as entrant #13. With dominating size and power, he eliminated five superstars and finally claimed victory by defeating La Parka as the last man standing. This marked Omos’s first in-ring WWE-affiliated appearance since April 2024.

Otis Makes His Own Shocking Comeback at AAA TripleMania 33

The 7’3 Giant was not the only WWE star who made his return at the AAA event. During the same Copa Bardahl match, another absent WWE star returned at entrant #9, and it was the Alpha Academy member Otis. The 33-year-old star had been out of action for a little over 100 days, with his previous match on May 5, 2025, against Rusev.

His absence was due to a severe elbow injury sustained during that match, where an attack post-bout caused significant damage requiring surgery and months of rehab. WWE removed Otis from their active roster while he recovered, prioritizing his health and future longevity. On return, Otis looked in peak condition, immediately eliminating four competitors before being pinned by Microman.
