IMPACT Wrestling Veteran Now A Free Agent

Impact Wrestling

A veteran IMPACT Wrestling wrestler with a past in WWE is now a free agent, according to a new report.

Heath has been a part of IMPACT Wrestling for the past four years after debuting in July 2020, but now the veteran wrestler is a free agent. Fightful Select has reported Heath’s deal with IMPACT has expired, and he is now accepting bookings.

In April 2020, Heath was released by WWE during the COVID-19 at a time when they released dozens of wrestlers. They did offer him a deal to come back to WWE, but Heath claimed in the past that it was about half of what he was previously making, so he turned it down. Heath instead chose to sign with Impact Wrestling.

Heath was known as Heath Slater in WWE and he was a four-time WWE Tag Team Champion that debuted as part of the Nexus stable on the main roster in 2010. Heath was also part of a band (sort of) along with former WWE Champions Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal. Both of those guys went on to become WWE Champions long after 3MB disbanded.

During his run in IMPACT Wrestling, Heath was a Tag Team Champion with Rhino. That team also held WWE Smackdown Tag Team Titles in 2016 as well.

IMPACT Wrestling will become TNA again in 2024

At IMPACT Wrestling’s biggest PPV of the year, Bound for Glory 2023, the company announced at the end of the night that it would go back to the Total Nonstop Action (TNA) name.

The name change will take place in January 2024 with TNA planning to introduce new championship titles while going back to the TNA colors of the past.
