Iconic Legend Stands By Mick Foley After WWE Split
Mick Foley recently announced that he had severed ties with WWE.
Foley notified his followers of his decision, which was the result of a political debacle by the United States President Donald Trump.
While condemning the death of filmmaker Rob Reiner, Trump’s choice of words did not sit well with many fans and celebrities, one of whom was musician Jack White.
Yesterday, Foley reposted White’s statement and also called out his peers for their lack of voice surrounding the issue.
The 60-year-old took to Instagram on Monday, revealing that he was worried about WWE’s relationship with the US President. He also said that he would not be renewing his Legends contract, which ends in June.
Mick Foley is a 3-time world champion and was a household name during the Attitude Era. He additionally took on non-wrestling roles, appearing in storylines as the WWF Commissioner and General Manager at different times.
WWE Legend Lends Support To Mick Foley
Amid his decision to quit WWE, Mick Foley has found support from legendary manager Jim Cornette.
Cornette, who hosts his own podcasts, including Drive-Thru and The Jim Cornette Experience, has often found himself standing opposite Donald Trump as well as those who publicly support him.
The 64-year-old posted a tweet supporting his former colleague, while also taking a dig at others for lacking his backbone and his morals.
I don’t think Mick Foley’s on Twitter or I’d tag him but I want to state publicly that while I’ve always liked him, he has just become my favorite person in the world. I wish all the boys had his backbone and, more importantly, his morals.

Donald Trump’s relationship with World Wrestling Entertainment is a long-standing one, and he was even added to the company’s Hall of Fame in 2013.
