Hulk Hogan’s Widow Planning Legal Action
Hulk Hogan’s widow could take legal action against doctors.
Hulk Hogan passed away at his home in Clearwater, Florida, on July 24. The WWE Hall of Famer suffered a heart attack after dealing with long-running heart issues. The medical report also revealed the star had a history of leukemia, something that hadn’t previously been public knowledge.
WWE later paid tribute to Hogan on the following episodes of SmackDown, Raw, and NXT.
However, controversy has surrounded Hogan’s death, with several conspiracy theories taking hold. And while several of those have already been shown to be wide of the mark, the facts around his death remain unclear.
Controversy Around Hulk Hogan’s Death Continues
In a new interview with the Daily Mail, Hogan’s widow, Sky Daily, confirmed that she could take legal action following the star’s death. She noted that any potential action would focus on the neck surgery he underwent two months before his passing.
Sky Daily had previously stated that Hogan’s phrenic nerve had been “compromised” during the surgery. The nerve impacts a person’s ability to breathe.
“We are investigating for possible malpractice. If you have shortness of breath for a long time, that makes you very sick. It’s not something that’s an alarming (sudden) cause of death. It’s something that wears on you, makes you weak.’
When asked whether the phrenic nerve being “compromised” could have contributed to Hogan’s death, Daily replied, “Definitely.”
Daily also took the opportunity to dismiss claims that Hogan’s personal physician, Dr. Gerald Fitzgerald, had overprescribed or drugged the WWE Hall of Famer. She also responded to suggestions that Clearwater Police had botched the investigation.
“I know the truth will come out, so I’m sitting back here politely being, like, everything’s being well documented. I know it’s fine. But I’m trying to be respectful of the police department because the police department has been very respectful and very thorough.
I have cameras in the house. They’ve looked at all the cameras. They’ve counted all the medicines. They’ve done everything that they would normally do.
They’ve seen very clear medical records, where it’s just completely obvious how things go. They’ve been very thorough.”
In a recent interview, Brooke Hogan said she’d been left traumatised by the 911 call made by Daily on the day of her father’s passing. She added that she no longer believed that foul play had caused Hulk’s death.
