Hulk Hogan’s Widow Denies Ric Flair’s Drug Death Claim

Hulk Hogan NWO

The widow of WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has spoken out after wild accusations about Hogan’s death were made by Ric Flair.

On July 24th 2025, the wrestling world was stunned when the news broke that Terry Bollea, best known to the world as Hulk Hogan, had passed away at his Florida home at the age of 71.

Hogan’s cause of death was given as a heart attack, but his family are considering a medical malpractice lawsuit in relation to his care and recent surgery to try and correct his badly damaged neck.

However, Ric Flair sparked controversy during a recent podcast appearance when he suggested Hulk Hogan’s death was down to his use of “street drugs” to try and mask the severe pain he was in:

I talked to him the day before he died. I shouldn’t say this, but what killed him was street drugs.

When the doctor wouldn’t prescribe anymore — he was in so much pain. Then he had a neck surgery and got infected. So back in the hospital… imagine 10 back surgeries, two knees, two hips, all this. And then when the doctor would not prescribe any more pain medicine — they just couldn’t do it, all due conscience, right? Yeah. So they went and got the drugs off the street. His body just said, ‘You know what? Bingo. I can’t do it anymore.’

Hulk Hogan’s Widow Shoots Down Drugs Claim

Speaking to TMZ Sports, Hogan’s widow, Sky, shot down Flair’s claims as she simply said:

That didn’t happen at all.

Sky also noted that Hulk Hogan was under the constant care of Morton Plant Hospital in Florida, and the only changes to his medication came following his neck surgery to ensure whatever he was taking did not have any adverse impact on his lungs.
