Hulk Hogan One Of The Worst Actors Of All-Time Says AEW Star

Hulk Hogan’s Hollywood journey is under fire.

Hulk Hogan is undeniably one of the most iconic names in professional wrestling; however, his film career has often divided fans and critics alike. While some appreciated his larger-than-life roles in ’90s family comedies like Mr. Nanny, Rocky III, and Santa with Muscles, others weren’t so kind.

Despite his box office attempts, The Hulkster never found the same critical success that later wrestling crossovers would achieve. AEW star MJF recently shared his candid thoughts on Hogan’s acting career without holding back.

MJF Takes a Swing at Hulk Hogan’s Acting Legacy

In an interview with TV Insider’s Scott Fishman, MJF, who is set to appear in Happy Gilmore 2 on Netflix, was asked about wrestlers finding more success in Hollywood today. In his response, The Salt of the Earth made it clear he respects performers like The Rock, John Cena, and Dave Bautista for breaking barriers, but took a dig at the Hall of Famer.

“Growing up, you’re watching these guys break this mold that unfortunately Terry Bollea [Hulk Hogan] created by being one of the worst actors of all-time with Santa with Muscles, Mr. Nanny, and all that genuine garbage,” said MJF. “Here are three men [Rock, Bautista, Cena] who are just great actors and proving to the world what we do is really difficult.”

He added, “It takes a certain type of star power to make it to the top of the professional wrestling industry. Dare I say it’s just as hard or harder than making it in the acting industry. I think those three guys broke the mold and allowed a guy like me to really get opportunities in the land of Hollywood.” [H/T TV Insider]

MJF is set to make his acting debut in Happy Gilmore 2, coming to Netflix on July 25, marking his first major Hollywood role and proving his transition from wrestling to film.
