Hulk Hogan Names His Pro Wrestling Mount Rushmore
Hulk Hogan has four wrestlers that he competed against many times as his Mount Rushmore of pro wrestling.
As a two-time WWE Hall of Famer who is one of the biggest names in the history of pro wrestling, Hulk Hogan has been in the ring with many of the biggest names of all time.
When wrestlers do interviews talking about the history of the business, they sometimes get asked the “Mount Rushmore” question for four names that represent the best of all time or perhaps a different category depending on the question.
During an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show hosted by WWE announcer Pat McAfee, Hulk Hogan was asked about his Mount Rushmore. He went with four WWE Hall of Famers that he was very familiar with.
“I can tell you who the four guys are on Mount Rushmore. It’s Andre the Giant, Roddy Piper, Ric Flair, and Macho Man.
That’s the real Mount Rushmore. Those guys laid the groundwork for everybody that came after them. Those guys made me.”
Hogan wrestled Andre, Piper, and “Macho Man” Randy Savage many times and also in WrestleMania main event matches. Hogan didn’t wrestle Flair at WrestleMania, but the two men wrestled many times over the years as well. Flair is the only one who is still alive.
Hulk Hogan Didn’t Turn Heel On WWE Crowd Because He Was There To Promote Beer
In the same interview, Hulk Hogan talked about how he was booed loudly by the Los Angeles crowd on the January 6th edition of Raw. Hogan came up with a bizarre theory about how he was booed because he was in LA as part of the heel NWO group and that’s why the fans booed him. That group was there over 25 years ago, so it was a questionable response.
The Hulkster also explained that he was there to promote his Real American Beer, which is a sponsor for WWE Raw, which is why he didn’t want to go heel on the crowd booing him.
“I was talking about the beer, we’re in a relationship with WWE, they are my partner in this thing, and I had to be a good guy in LA. If this was for wrestling and they turned on me like that, I would have turned into Hollywood Hogan. You hate me for all I’ve done and the Make-A-Wish kids and all I’ve done for your kids? Guess what. I did it for the money.
Since you want so much hatred coming your way, I hope you have a good time when Kamala Harris is your new governor and you’re all standing in the soup line. Mic drop, see ya. I couldn’t do that. I was ready to go after them.”
