Hulk Hogan Says Hatred Never Ends With Bret Hart

The Bret Hart Vs. Hulk Hogan Match That Almost Happened

Bret Hart doesn’t hold back when it comes to people he dislikes in wrestling and now Hulk Hogan has addressed why Hart hates him.

Over the years Bret Hart has been very outspoken about his dislike of Goldberg after the former WCW World Champion ended The Hitman’s career with an errant kick during a match. But it’s not just Goldberg that has faced Hart’s ire.

Bret Hart recently noted Vince McMahon can “rot in hell” and he’s not been shy with comments about the likes of Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan – and now Hogan has addressed the hate.

Appearing on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, Hulk Hogan commented on his hater-in-chief while the current WWE star asked why Bret Hart was “so bitter”:

There’s a few haters out there. Bret hates everybody, it’s not [just] me, it’s Flair, it’s Vince. You know, ‘I’ll never work for Vince again after what happened to my family’ and he’s back, it just never ends with him.

I love Bret to death, I started with Bret. I remember when I was in Atlanta, I’d been in the business 3 years and I was 330 pounds, almost 340, all natural [spits]. Anyway, I just remember, Bret used to live across the hall from me and when I was working for Channel 17, the Crockett promotion, I was so big, I’d wrestle 3 guys and at once and pick all 3 of them up in a bear hug and just ragdoll them – Bret was one of them.

But we were just all getting started so it was all fun. Then we got rolling, he says I destroyed his career, it’s like okay, alright, whatever.

Did Bret Hart vs. Hulk Hogan In A Handicap Match Really Happen?

In 1979, as Terry Boulder, Hulk Hogan had one 3-on-1 handicap match in Southeastern Championship Wrestling but Bret Hart was not one of his opponents. Later that year in Georgia Championship Wrestling, Hogan, now known as Sterling Golden won a 2-on-1 handicap match but again Hart was not his opponent although Hart was also on the same card that night defeating Jacques Goulet.

The only record on cagematch of Bret Hart and Hulk Hogan being in a handicap match against each other doesn’t come until 1987 when Hogan and Billy Jack Haynes defeated The Hart Foundation and Danny Davis in a dark match. Another match took place the following year when The Mega Powers of Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage defeated Bret Hart, Jim ‘The Anvil’ Neidhart, and The Honky Tonk Man.
