Hulk Hogan Got What He Deserved According To Top WWE Star
A former World Champion is glad Hulk Hogan got what he deserved.
On January 6, WWE Raw debuted on Netflix, and there was an air of celebration in the air. The show was packed with wrestling royalty and a litany of famous faces, but the taping turned out to be a night to forget for one WWE legend.
While appearing in a short segment on the show, Hulk Hogan was heavily booed despite trying his usual babyface promo.
Many believe the negative reaction stemmed from racist comments made by Hogan on video in 2007, which were subsequently leaked in 2015. In that video and another leaked from 2008, Hogan used several racist slurs and admitted he was racist.
Although Hogan was removed from the WWE Hall of Fame over the initial incident, he was later reinstated. During this process, the veteran visited backstage at Extreme Rules 2018, but several reports have suggested he took the chance to warn of people making secret recordings, rather apologise for using racist language.
WWE Star Happy To See Hulk Hogan Booed
During an appearance on Good Morning Football, Seth Rollins was asked about the frosty reception given to Hogan, and he had little sympathy. The Monday Night Raw star gave Hogan credit for getting him into professional wrestling but said he was happy to see him get booed as that’s what he deserves.
“I am all for people getting what they deserve. That’s how I feel about Hulk Hogan getting booed. If you see getting booed by the masses, there’s a reason for it. I don’t know if Hulk fully understands the scope [laughs], but people get what they deserve, so I’m happy to see it.
I love to see it, and look, I said this before about The Hulkster, he’s the guy that got me into this industry as far as love for professional wrestling, so I’ll never take that away from him. What he’s done for our business, I’ll never take that away from.
But I do think there’s some responsibility that he needs to own up to that he hasn’t yet. Maybe when he finally figures that out, might be able to move forward with our fans. So we’ll see,”
During an episode of his own podcast, The Undertaker said he also has little sympathy for Hulk Hogan, commenting “Sometimes in life, some things come back.”
Meanwhile, the man himself claimed he was booed because “the last time he ran hard in LA,” he was a heel as part of the nWo in the 1990s.
