Hulk Hogan is back in the news because he’s doing a New World Order reunion with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash this Saturday in Orlando. You can get more details on that at HulkHogan.com now.

To promote the NWO reunion appearance, Hogan did an interview with Jay Reddick of the Orlando Sentinel where they covered a number of topics. There were a few interesting things that Hogan said, but something really sticks out.

When asked about his future appearances with WWE, here’s how Hogan responded:

“There are a lot of plans in the works. I’m looking forward to going to Saudi Arabia with the WWE, looking forward to WrestleMania — but yeah, we’re moving forward at a rapid pace. It’s exciting to have this opportunity again after all these years where I was there and gone.”

If Hogan does appear at Crown Jewel, which is still scheduled for November 2 in Riyadh, Saudia Arabia, then it would be Hogan’s first appearance on WWE TV since he was suspended by the company in July 2015 due to racist remarks that were recorded on a tape from over a decade ago. Hogan was re-instated by WWE this past July.

Hogan has not been advertised to appear by WWE. He’s just

Here’s what Hogan had to say about the New World Order faction that led to his major heel turn in July 1996 at WCW’s Bash at the Beach.

“The fans weren’t cheering as loud. It was kind of like watching the same rerun or TV show over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. Rip the shirt, drop the leg, Hulk up, blah.”

“I said, ‘I don’t know, man, I’m a singles wrestler and I don’t really like tag teams. This is either going to be the greatest thing that ever happened to my career or my career is over. … But when [Hall and Nash] came in, I watched them the first couple of weeks and I was, oh man, I don’t want to miss this money train.”

Hogan also made it clear that he wants to be a part of whatever big events WWE has in the future all over the world.

“This is a total ego trip, but this is what I would love: To be the hood ornament of the WWE, to be the Babe Ruth of the WWE, and to always be around when any of the big stuff is going on…I sure would love to be a part of the WrestleManias and the big events and the grand openings and the new conquests of the WWE. Saudi Arabia! Hong Kong! China! Antarctica! The North Pole! Whatever it is, I’d like to be part of the ongoing growth of the wrestling business, and be with WWE the whole time, that’s the only place to be.”

The article also has Hogan praising Drew McIntyre and thinking he can be a World Champion in WWE. Read the whole thing at the Orlando Sentinel here.
