Hulk Hogan Caught In Fresh Racism Row
Hulk Hogan has come under fire after making a series of comments about Kamala Harris.
During an event at the Thirsty Cowboy in Medina, Ohio on August 19th to promote his new beer, Hulk Hogan made several comments about US Vice President Kamala Harris.
In the clip obtained by TMZ Sports, Hogan can be seen interacting with the crowd while doing what is effectively a Steve Austin impression, getting fans to chant “What?” As the video progresses, Hogan asks whether people want to see him bodyslam Kamala Harris before adding “Want me to drop the leg on Kamala?”
Continuing on, Hogan says “Is Kamala a chameleon? Is she Indian? Ok, I like it!” He then mocks Native Americans by raising his hand and saying “How.” In response, he adds “gonna get heat for that one,” and that it was “the beers talking.”
Donald Trump had previously accused Harris of switching races to boost her chances of becoming President. Harris’s father is from Jamaica while her mother is from India.
On July 18th, Hulk Hogan gave a speech at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he endorsed Donald Trump.
WWE Fired Hulk Hogan For Racist Comments In 2015
In 2015, a tape leaked of Hulk Hogan going on a racist tirade back in 2007 and admitting to being “a racist, to a point” as he used the n-word repeatedly. As a result, WWE ended its contract with him and Hogan was suspended from the WWE Hall of Fame before he returned to both in 2018.
In an interview conducted in May 2023, Hulk Hogan claimed the incident was a “speed bump.”
