Huge WWE Star’s Future Uncertain As Creative Plans Stall

WWE Triple H

WWE are desperately trying to come up with a program for a major star to help elevate them but their plans have so far fallen through.

Roman Reigns became the undisputed number one star in WWE when he embraced being the Tribal Chief and built his Bloodline around him under the guidance of his Wise Man, Paul Heyman. Through that multi-year storyline, Reigns was able to elevate the likes of Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, and Sami Zayn as part of his group.

Reigns then had main event title matches with both Zayn and Jey Uso, helping solidify them as bona fide main event stars. Jey Uso became World Heavyweight Champion at WrestleMania 41, cementing his own singles run at the top of the company. But it seems so far WWE has failed to find anything to bring Jimmy Uso up to his twin brother’s level.

WWE Struggling With Jimmy Uso

Speaking on WrestleVotes Q&A, Bill Apter noted that WWE are trying to find a program for Jimmy Uso to bring him up a level but so far they’ve yet to find that spark:

They don’t have a program locked in for him at this point. They’re trying very hard to find somebody to shoot an angle with him, but it hasn’t happened yet. I don’t know what they’re planning. The people I’ve talked to are going like we’re looking for something to bring him up a level, but they haven’t come up with anything yet.

I think they wanna keep him around, they wanna keep him on TV. He’s popular enough, but they are looking for some kind of spark behind him [that is] yet to be seen yet, so we’ll see how it goes.

Despite being part of the WWE roster for 15 years, Jimmy Uso has never won a singles match at a PLE during his career. He recently failed to qualify for the Money In The Bank match as he found himself on the losing end of a triple threat match to his younger brother, Solo Sikoa.
