Huge WWE Star Allegedly Set To Pin John Cena

John Cena and Cody Rhodes are scheduled to appear on the May 30 episode of SmackDown.

This will be the first time both superstars have featured on the blue brand since WrestleMania 41.

Rhodes shocked not only Cena, but the WWE Universe by attending Saturday Night’s Main Event and nailing the Undisputed Champion with a Cross Rhodes.

The incident first saw Cena interfere in the Heavyweight Championship match, attacking Jey Uso to cost him the belt to Logan Paul.

Cody’s interference helped Uso retain his belt. Rhodes then challenged Cena and Paul in a tag team match at Money in the Bank PLE against him and Jey Uso.

Since fans expected Rhodes to go for the championship title immediately, the tag team challenge took everyone by surprise.

However, this could be the lead-up to the ultimate showdown in December when the Peacemaker star leaves WWE.

On his podcast, Notsam Wrestling, WWE analyst Sam Roberts shared his views about the rivalry, explaining that WWE probably booked the tag team match at Money in the Bank so Rhodes could pin Cena:

Because, to me, I feel like the reason to have this tag team match is because Cody Rhodes can pin John Cena. And in this tag team match, that is exactly what should happen.

He also said that WWE may plan a match for SummerSlam, but with Rhodes failing to win the title.

Roberts then threw other names into the mix, including CM Punk and Randy Orton, resulting in the trio fighting it out in order to stretch the storyline further.

While different scenarios emerge from fans, it is true that the company has enough time to decide who gets the belt from Cena. For now, the focus remains on the tag team match to give this rivalry a boost.
