Huge WWE RAW Star Wins First Singles Match After 224 Days
WWE planned a huge go-home episode of Monday Night RAW before Survivor Series takes place this weekend. Roman Reigns kicked off the episode and addressed the upcoming WarGames match.
The show also built up towards John Cena’s final two WWE appearances. Two second-round matches of the ‘Last Time is Now’ tournament are scheduled for the show, while Dominik Mysterio addressed his match with Cena as well.
However, he disrespected the Never Seen 17 and was chased out of the ring by his father, Rey Mysterio. The older Mysterio was scheduled to face Dom’s stablemate, JD McDonagh, whom he faced in tag team action last week.
Rey Mysterio gets his first singles WWE win since April
McDonagh came to the ring immediately after Rey, and they transitioned into their match. JD put on an excellent showing, just as he did on SmackDown last week, when he answered Ilja Dragunov’s US Title Open Challenge.
He was in control for most of the match against Rey Mysterio, thanks in part to Finn Balor, who was assisting his protege from ringside. Finn got involved in the match on multiple occasions before the referee caught hold of him.
Rey took advantage of the situation for a little while to build some momentum for himself and got rid of Finn by cleverly using JD against him. Finn was on the apron, interfering in the match again but Rey knocked JD into the ropes which pushed Balor to the floor.

Rey hit JD with a 619 and quickly finished the match by pinning McDonagh and got out of the ring before he was jumped by The Judgment Day members, earning him his first win in 224 days. He last won a singles match in April when he defeated American Made’s Julius Creed.
