Huge WWE Heel To Turn Babyface & Face Gunther At WrestleMania?
Since beating John Cena, Gunther has been on cloud nine.
At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, The Ring General made Cena tap out to his submission, as promised. On the latest Monday Night RAW episode, he gloated about his crowning achievement, receiving tremendous heat from the audience.
He was subsequently removed from the building by general manager Adam Pearce. While on his way out, the 38-year-old was confronted by several stars, including AJ Styles, who is speculated to be his next victim.
Before the WWE Crown Jewel PLE in October, Styles had announced his retirement, claiming that 2026 would be his final year in wrestling.
Considering that Gunther is being built as something of a ‘Legend Slayer,’ it is fair to assume that his paths will ultimately cross with The Phenomenal One.
The Austrian heavyweight’s reputation is also expected to grow, turning him into a WrestleMania main-eventer, and when that happens, he will be met by another superstar on a similar journey as Gunther’s, although as a babyface.
Gunther Predicted To Face Dominik Mysterio At WWE WrestleMania
Like Gunther, Dominik Mysterio is a top heel in WWE at present.
He is one of the few double champions, as he holds the Intercontinental Championship along with the AAA Mega Championship.
Mysterio’s ability to draw heat has never been in question, but the fans have begun admiring him for his mic skills and in-ring work.
Many fans see him as an anti-hero, if not as an outright heel.
Legendary manager Dutch Mantell looked at other heels during a recent episode of his Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast, who could challenge Gunther in the future at WWE WrestleMania, when Dominik Mysterio’s name came up.
Dom. They’re gonna push him, not as a babyface; he’s still a heel. But when they turn him, this is what I foresee two years from now at WrestleMania, Dom vs. Gunther. And I think there will be so much interest in that match, and I think during that one run, they’re gonna set records. [29:20 onwards]
