Huge Title Match Announced for WWE NXT Deadline

WWE NXT is hosting the 2025 edition of Gold Rush this week, and the show has had the fans in the arena hooked. The WWE Universe has already been treated to two separate title matches so far, with two more yet to come.

Apart from the matches, fans were eagerly waiting to see former NXT Champion Oba Femi confront the current champion, Ricky Saints, after a segment between the two was announced for the show.

Oba was a dominant NXT Champion who held the title for 263 days before losing it to Saints at No Mercy in September. He had been off television since then and only returned to the promotion last week.

Oba Femi to challenge for the NXT Championship at Deadline

The two wrestlers met face to face in the ring for the first time tonight since their match at No Mercy. There was no love lost between the two wrestlers but their interaction showed they had mutual respect for one another.

They got into a war of words during Gold Rush, following which Oba Femi challegend Ricky Saints for a rematch for the NXT Championship at next month’s deadline, which the champion accepted.
