Huge Title Change Takes Place At AEW Full Gear
Multiple championships were on the line at AEW Full Gear tonight as the PPV saw a total of five title matches take place on the main card of the show. In addition to both World Titles, the TNT and World Tag Team Championship were on the line as well.
The newly introduced AEW National Championship was also up for grabs at the show, and The Demand member, Ricochet, came out as the inaugural champion. He wasn’t the only one who walked out of the PPV as champion despite not walking in as one.
FTR were another to fall in the category as they defeated Brodido for the World Tag Team Championship to become the joint-most successful tag team in the promotion. The TNT Championship was the next to change hands on the night.
Mark Briscoe wins first AEW Championship at Full Gear
Mark Briscoe challenged the TNT Champion, Kyle Fletcher, for his belt in a No disqualifaction match at the PPV and ultimately came away with the win. A brutal match between the two saw multiple weapons being used by both wrestlers.
In addition to chairs and tables, Kyle Fletcher introduced thumbtacks and a barbed-wire covered table to get the win. However, Brisoce used the barbed-wire table to his advantage.

He threw Fletched from the top rope turnbuckled and straight into the barbed wire table and followed that up with a Jay Driller onto the thumbtanks to win his first ever championship in AEW.
