Huge Update On Roman Reigns’ WWE Future After Raw Beatdown
Roman Reigns was viciously attacked on WWE Raw, sparking questions about his future with the company.
For the first time in nearly four months, Roman Reigns was back in the ring at SummerSlam. Reigns teamed up with his cousin Jey Uso to beat The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed in what was a competitive match that saw Reigns sacrifice himself to help Jey, who ended up getting the win for the team.
On WWE Raw in Brooklyn, Reigns wanted to get his hands on the World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins. While Reigns did get his hands on Breakker and Reed, Rollins was able to stop him by hitting The Stomp. That led to Reigns getting beaten up by Rollins, Breakker, and Reed, who connected with the Tsunami splash on Reigns three times. To make matters worse, “The Tribal Thief” Reed stole Roman’s shoes like he had done in the past.
Following Reigns getting attacked on Raw, there was speculation that he might miss some WWE time due to filming the Street Fighter movie soon. However, there is some more clarity on that situation.
According to PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, the Street Fighter movie doesn’t begin until September, and Reigns will be working on the set for about four weeks, starting on September 2nd and lasting until September 26th.
PWInsider also noted that WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is in Street Fighter as well, but he’s not expected to be on set for as long as Reigns.
WWE Announces Roman Reigns For Upcoming WWE Raw Episode
As for when Roman Reigns will appear on WWE TV again, the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia posted on social media about how Reigns will be on the August 18th edition of Raw in Philadelphia.
The next WWE PLE is Clash in Paris, France, on August 31st. It hasn’t been confirmed if Reigns will be a part of that PLE, but since he is going to be on Raw on August 18th, perhaps that means Reigns could be in a match at the Clash in Paris event.
