Huge Name Pitched For WWE Return
Amongst all the names returning to WWE in recent weeks, a former Universal Champion is the latest to be linked with a move back to the company.
Since Triple H took over as the creative force and Head of Talent Relations in WWE, things have certainly changed. Previously released stars such as Dakota Kai, Karrion Kross, Scarlett, Dexter Lumis, and Hit Row have all returned to WWE as well as Johnny Gargano who left in early 2022 when his contract expired.
Fightful Select has now reported that the latest name to be pitched within WWE about a return is Braun Strowman. The report notes that those in the company are impressed with Strowman’s physique, commenting that he is “ring ready” and looks in better shape than he did when he left the company in the summer of 2021.
The Monster Among Men was nearing the end of his contract at the time of his release and was said to be playing hardball in negotiations to re-sign.
Braun Strowman was released from his contract in June 2021 in the round of cuts that also saw Aleister Black, Ruby Riott, Buddy Matthews, Lana, and Santana Garrett leave the company.
Since his release, Strowman has focused his efforts on the Control Your Narrative promotion also spearheaded by former WWE Superstar, EC3.
