Huge Change In The Works For WWE Raw

There will be a new look for WWE Monday Night Raw on Netflix and that includes what appears on the mat in the ring.

The highly anticipated debut of WWE Monday Night Raw on Netflix is just days away on January 6th from Los Angeles. It could be argued that it might be the most highly anticipated of Raw in the history of the 32 years that Raw has been on the air.

Paul “Triple H” Levesque recently unveiled a new logo for the Raw brand and there will also be a new theme song by popular rap star Travis Scott. There will likely be other cosmetic changes to the show as well.

A leaked photo is circulating online from SmackDown in Phoenix where WWE tested out a new mat that is expected to be used for Raw.

As you can see, the ring is full of logos of companies that are paying for spots on the mat. Those logos are:

• Fortnite (centered)
• Riyadh Season
• Hulk Hogan’s ‘Real American Beer’
• Cricket
• Netflix
• Snickers

Fightful Select reports that while it hasn’t been confirmed if this ring mat will be used for Raw, “it was intimated that it would be.”

On SmackDown in Phoenix, there was a new blue mat used that had no advertisements on it, but perhaps there will be advertisements on that ring in the future as well.

Stipulation Removed From WWE Raw Match

There are some huge matches set to take place on Raw’s Netflix premiere on January 6th. One of those matches is Liv Morgan defending the Women’s World Title against her rival Rhea Ripley. On a graphic that was shown on WWE Main Event, it said that Morgan’s match with Ripley would be a Last Woman Standing Match. However, WWE has removed the stipulation from the match, so it will likely just be a regular match.

The lineup for WWE Raw on January 6th looks like this so far:

• CM Punk vs. Seth “Freakin” Rollins
• Tribal Combat Match: Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa
• Women’s World Championship: Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley
• Jey Uso vs. Drew McIntyre
• John Cena marks first stop of Farewell Tour on the Raw on Netflix Premiere
• Logan Paul will return to Monday Night Raw on Netflix
